A Simple Complication

If it wasn't for writing, I'd be running down the street, tossing grenades into peoples' faces.

Christos voskress...

...voistina voskress!

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter, I had fun despite missing the traditional candy hunt in the Bayles living room. :-/

I went to Church of the Great Shepherd with my friends Gabbie and Sarah and Gabbie's parents. It's an Anglican church, which is quite different from what I'm used to with Sunrise obviously, but I really enjoyed it. I went there for the Maundy Thursday service too. It is especially fun watching Father Lyle Dorsett, who gets very into the worship and will be up on stage, hands raised, bouncing and shouting out the songs. His joy is contagious. Sometimes he stretches out a hand with three fingers up (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost :) ) and it becomes almost a 'rock on' kind of gesture...except it's like "Woohoo! Yeah! The Trinity!" Really cute actually. I think I may try to go with Gabbie more often.

After church we met up with Gretchen and Gabbie's parents took us all out to Egglectic, an awesome cafe in downtown Wheaton. Gabbie's Mom even made us all little Easter baskets with candy and ramen. :)

Later we dyed eggs with the kit my Mom sent me:

Oh, one last fun thing. This is what it looks like when you take ten people, cram them into a Jeep Cherokee, and drive to Denny's at 4am on Good Friday. There are only six of us actually in the picture, but rest assured, there are really ten people in the car:

When I have a brand new hairdo...

...with my eyelashes all in curls
I float as the clouds on air do
I enjoy being a girl!

Ah, me with my new hair...looking oh so emo. I have been loving people's reactions. Especially when I drove down to see Jamie (gasp! By myself!) and she ran out to the car to help me park, ripped open the door, and was shocked to see my hair all chopped. :) It seemed like I was on Jeopardy and had just said, "I'll take 'Things that could mess Katie up while she's driving for a thousand, Alex.'" I got so many phone calls while I was driving...a dangerous thing on a good day, more so when I'm not on familiar streets. I made it fine though.

Well I think I'm gonna go find some food, then hit the town with Katy K, Heidi, and my new spunky hairdo. :-P

That is so funny to me, because it's true. Except I felt it more in high school because that's when I actually had math...

Typing is kind of difficult right now because I went rock climbing on the wall in the SRC last night and my arms are DEAD. It was really fun and a great workout, I'm going to do it more often now. :) After we came back to the dorm I couldn't even open a pop bottle...it was quite sad.

In twenty-four hours I will be sitting on a plane heading home! I am so very excited. I'm ready to get away from all the drama over here...I should change my major to psych and put down all the pro-bono counseling I've been doing as an internship or something.

See all you Washington people soon!
